Privacy Policy (High Ball)

Last updated: 2026-10-05

This Privacy Policy explains how HyperCasting ("we", "the developer") collects, uses and stores information through the mobile game "High Ball" (package name com.hypercasting.highlowball, "the App").

1. Information We Collect

The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, camera or microphone. When you open the App it signs you in anonymously through our backend provider, Supabase, which issues a random user ID for your device. Under that ID we store:

DataPurposeVisible to other players?
Anonymous user ID (random, not linked to your identity)Tell your records apart from other players'A shortened form may be shown when you have no nickname
Nickname (optional, entered by you)Shown in rankings and multiplayer roomsYes
Stage results: clear times, pass/fail, stage progress, season scores and ranksSave progress, compute leaderboards and seasonsTimes and ranks: yes
Replay data: the lines you drew and the ball's trajectoryReplays, rankings, fair-play checksSome replays (see Section 3)
Live run position while a run is in progressLive spectatingYes, during the run
Multiplayer room participation, attempts and resultsRun multiplayer roomsYes, to players in the same room
Hearts (skip tokens), number of hearts earned from ads per day, and in-game notifications (e.g. "a new season opened")Game features, daily limit on ad rewardsNo

The App also keeps some data only on your device: settings (sound, vibration, language, colors), a cache of the stage list, the sign-in session that lets you keep the same anonymous account between launches, and your ad consent choice (stored by Google UMP).

Push notification token: to send game alerts while the App is closed (for example "someone beat your time", "Season Elite reached" or rank changes), we store the device token issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) and your alert language (Korean/English) with your anonymous user ID. If you don't allow notifications, none are shown, and you can turn them off any time in your device settings. The token is used only to deliver these alerts. How Google handles FCM data: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

The App does not use analytics. Google Analytics collection bundled with the Firebase SDK is turned off, and Unity Analytics and crash reporting are disabled.

1a. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Currently it offers rewarded ads that play only when you tap to watch one (you receive 1 heart). To serve and measure ads, the Google AdMob SDK collects the following on your device and sends it to Google:

This information is used to deliver ads, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and, where you have consented, show personalized ads. We do not store your advertising ID ourselves or link it to your game account. How Google uses this information: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Consent and opting out: in regions that require consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland, etc.) Google's consent form (UMP) appears on first launch, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy → Privacy options in the App. In every region you can limit use of the advertising ID in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → delete advertising ID or opt out of personalization). The App is intended for users aged 13 and over and does not use child-directed ad settings.

2. Storage and Processing

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS) and stored by our backend provider, Supabase (infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services). See https://supabase.com/privacy.

3. Information Sharing

Your nickname, times and ranks appear on public leaderboards. Replays can be watched by other players ranked close to you; the replays of the top 10 players of each stage are kept private by the server. To show ads, the Google AdMob SDK sends the information in Section 1a directly to Google. Apart from that, we do not sell, rent or share your game data with third parties for any purpose beyond operating the game as described here.

4. Data Retention

Game data is kept while your account exists. Uninstalling the App does not delete server data by itself — use the deletion options below.

5. Deleting Your Data

In the App: Settings → Privacy → Delete my data, then tap again to confirm. This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all associated server data (records, rankings, replays, nickname, hearts, notifications and multiplayer history), clears the App's data on your device, and closes the App. The next launch starts a new, empty account.

By email: if you no longer have the App installed, email dongjun1003@gmail.com with the subject "High Ball data deletion" and your nickname and any identifying details you can provide (e.g. a screenshot of your records). We will delete the matching account within 30 days. Details: delete-account.html.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. It does not ask for real names or contact details; the only free text is an optional nickname limited to a few characters. If you believe a child has entered personal information as a nickname, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time using the methods above.
